FRANCE 19-5 CHINA

Celine Allainmat (FRA)

On the victory over China:

“We didn’t take it easy and we respected China. We knew it was going to be hard and that they were quick on the outside. But we defended well and came through.”

On being top of the pool:

“The victory over Australia was key for us, as was to win this match. Now we are looking forward to tomorrow. We don’t have any injury concerns, just some tired legs.”

AUSTRALIA 36-0 NETHERLANDS

Debby Hodgkinson (AUS):

On how the team are working through the tournament:

"We came back from a bit of a disappointing loss to France and we came back flying. I think we are just building on every game so that's a positive for us because look out tomorrow - we will be flying."

On what will give them the edge:

"I think our Aussie hunger; we want it more."

AUSTRALIA 10-14 FRANCE

Francoise Gomez (FRA, did not play)

On the upset win over Australia:

"It was very hard, and we made very big mistakes against the Netherlands. For the rest of the tournament we have to make very hard tackles."

Debby Hodgkinson (AUS)

On the shock loss to France:

"We definitely had high hopes. I think we just went a little bit away from our game plan but we still have one more game, which we are definitely going to come back in because it's pretty much our grand final."

NETHERLANDS 17-14 FRANCE

Pien Selbeck (NED)

On the victory:

"It is a very good victory because we lost in Malaga to them."

On the support from the fans:

"The fans were great. Everyone was orange in the corner so it is great to be here and we have a lot of supporters."

AUSTRALIA 50-12 CHINA

Captain Chez Soon (AUS)

On being the first woman to captain a winning side in Women's Rugby World Cup Sevens history:

"It is pretty exciting. We're really happy we have come away with the win. When we went into the game we just wanted to execute the basics and our game plan and I think it is a good stepping stone for things to come."

On scoring a try:

"I was just in the right place at the right time, supporting, but yes I'm very happy."

On preparing for their next match against France:

"We are just going to do recovery right now and do what we did in the last game."
