FIJI 38-5 FRANCE
Vilimoni Delasau (FIJ)
On making it through to the Cup quarter finals:
"We are happy for the win and we are very happy to be through to the final stages. Everything has gone to plan so far and the coach has been testing the players in the first two pool games. We have played well for two days but we have to come prepared for tomorrow because that is the big day."
On comparisons to the 2005 team:
"I believe we are one step better than the team of 2005 and I think we can go and win it again. We have to."
USA 33-5 GEORGIA
Coach Al Caravelli (USA)
On the team recording their first victory of the tournament:
"The boys have definitely under-performed this week and they played much better (in this match). We don't measure success on wins and losses but their tackle count was much better in this game and they finally moved the ball to their pattern."
On whether it was the performance he had been looking for:
"Yes it was. It should have came yesterday but at least they did it before the tournament being over. We hope to build on it and hopefully that momentum will carry us through."
FRANCE 33-0 GEORGIA
Captain Laurent Ferreres (FRA)
On the victory:
"I am very happy for the team because we needed to score a lot of points before the game against Fiji. Fiji will be hard to beat but we are confident after that result."
FIJI 26-12 USA
Coach Iliesa Tanivula (FIJ)
On whether he was happy with the performance of his team:
"Not really. We are committing basic mistakes at the moment. We just need to get back to the drawing board and rectify the mistakes."
On what he thinks they can do to improve:
"We have got to rectify the mistakes from the last two games, especially this one. We are committing simple mistakes, just committing ourselves in the contact, but I think we can do better, spreading the ball wide, and making sure there is space."
