Media Facilities

The new Emirates purpose-built sports venue, 'The Sevens' is fully equipped with a main press centre, photo workroom and media tribunes in the stands.

Limited desktop terminals will be available for use by members of the media.

Wireless internet access will be free of charge to all working journalists, and this will be available in the press centre and photographers' room as well as in the media tribunes.

Limited ISDN lines are also available for reporters and photographers.

The main press centre and the photo workroom are also equipped with printers, fax machines and telephones.

Both facilities are located in the main grandstand.

Press conferences/mixed zone:

There will be a mixed zone area close to the main pitch for members of the media to interview players immediately after matches. A press conference room is also situated in the grandstand where media will have access to selected teams at specific times during the tournament.

Hours of operation:
The media centre and photo workroom will be open from 9am to midnight on each day of the tournament from March 5-7.

Electricity in the UAE:
220/240V 50Hz - three-pronged square plugs (the same as those used in Britain and Ireland)

Accreditation:
Applications for accreditation will begin in January 2009. Please keep checking this website for further details.
