Russia women's sevens captain Anastasiya Mukharyamova on being in the same pool as England: "There will be no weak teams. England are the founders of this game so we will just need to fight and believe in ourselves."
Russia men's sevens player Alexandr Yanyushkin on opponents in his pool: "We have a strong team. All pools here are pretty strong. We will prepare to show our best level agains Japan and Scotland. We have had good and not-so-good matches against South Africa. In the remaining months we will be working to optimise our preparation to do our best."
Bernard Lapasset: "I am sure that the best players will come to Moscow for this Rugby World Cup Sevens, especially considering the Olympics in 2016."
Some reaction after the draw...
Russia women's sevens coach Pavel Baranowsky on whether his team can win the trophy: "We are ready to become World champions. There is no point in just turning up to. We want to play our part in the World Cup and hopefully to bring the trophy to Moscow."

The official mascot for the tournament, Mishka, has just made its entrance!
The MC for the event is Alex Popov, Formula 1 commentator in Russia and a big fan of rugby.
